Using the result
Essence and runes are different quantities
Most altar rows count essence processed. Higher-level multiple runes and the Raiments of the Eye increase rune output without multiplying the XP from that essence. Supported air, fire, lava, aether and Arceuus rows calculate those outputs from your level and outfit; other rows show input costs without claiming complete profit.
Pouches, repairs, teleports and the route back to the altar affect your hourly pace. Measure complete trips. Combination runes also need their supporting setup; a recipe’s ingredient list is not the full travel-and-spell cost of the method.
How the numbers work
XP and quantities
Subtract current XP from target XP, divide by the method XP value, then round up to the next whole action.
Level status only checks the skill level. Quests, spellbooks, equipment, area access and other requirements may still apply.
GP values
Inputs use average instant-buy prices and tradeable outputs use average instant-sell prices after Grand Exchange tax. Red − values are costs; green + values are profits. Rows with untradeable or unpriced resources show the known GE cost instead of a made-up net value. Five-minute averages are used first, with one-hour averages filling missing prices.
